Scents are the one beauty product one doesn’t need, but the same beauty product one most desires.

There is no rational benefit to applying scents or perfumes onto ourselves. Some might argue that they change our mood or enhance our emotions, but from a pure rational perspective, contrary to other beauty products, scent doesn’t do anything more than just change a smell. While cleanser cleans, moisturizer hydrates, foundation conceals and color cosmetics enhance, perfume just scents — and that in itself is as wonderful and magical as it is useless, and there is the exact point where the magic of scent exists.
